Sept. 11

Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of 9/11, as I'm sure you know..or mayb not. Did you realize it, or did someone else tell you? I read an article in USA Today yesterday in which they discussed the different ways people were remembering this not, or not. The interesting thing was that the newspaper had conducted a poll in which people were asked: "Has 9/11 changed the way you live?" The second question: "Do you think 9/11 has changed the way Americans live?" I don't recall the exact percentages, but the majority of people answered, "No," that 9/11 did not change the way they live. On the contrary, the majority of people answered, "Yes" that 9/11 changed the way Americans live. What's the distinction? Don't people consider themselves "Americans" every day, not just voting day or the like? Are people just thinking about airlines and things like that which don't necessarily affect individuals but Americans as a whole? Furthermore, if 9/11 hasn't changed the way we live, should it have? Or is this just a horrible memory that we should try to forget or, at least, refuse to give power to? I'm not sure how I feel about it. How do you feel?

I think, that is to say, the thoughts which are written are mine, the thoughts which originated with me, are hereafter to be written, by me, for they are my thoughts (I think), therefore, the thoughts which I thunk are mine and mine alone, thinking amongst my own faculties, thereby allowing me to share my thoughts, which, nonetheless, are mine.

What was the question?
