I feel the Earth move...

Did everybody feel the vibrations Friday morning from the earthquake in Illinois--yes, I said earthquake! I did! Here's the story. That night, I went to bed with my newborn son around 3 a.m. I put him in his playpen, and I hopped into my bed. My hubby went to sleep in my stepsons' room, and my girls were all asleep in their rooms. I woke to my bed shaking so hard that the headboard was slamming against the wall. In my half-asleep, disoriented state, I thought that maybe my hubby or one of my kids was shaking me awake. Once I realized that it actually was the bed shaking and nobody was shaking it, then, my mind started whirling. I thought, "Oh My God, I've finally gone insane, I'm imagining this!" I shut my eyes tight and opened them again, but it was still happening! My next thought was that, like Linda Blair, in The Exorcist, my worst nightmare had come true and there were evil spirits about to possess me! I jumped out of bed and looked at my son. He was still peacefully sleeping. This surprised me. I went out into the hallway and noticed the closet door was ajar, and it was shaking back and forth! This kinda freaked me out. I went into each of my daughters' rooms; they were all sound asleep. Then, I looked in on my husband--I really didn't have to look as I could hear him snoring once I entered the hallway--and he was, of course, also sound asleep. The shaking stopped a second or two later, and I went back to bed, resigned in the fact that I was crazy, but too exhausted to think too much on it. I was very relieved albeit surprised the next morning to find out that there actually had been an earthquake!
