Teenage Pregnancy--Don't Do It

I am very disturbed by this pregnancy pact--I'm sure everyone has heard of this by now--formed by some naive higschool girls in Massachusetts, 17 of which succeeded in getting themselves pregnant before the tender age of 16!!! WTF?! The issue here is what is it about our schools, our families, and our society that makes teenage girls think that getting pregnant and raising children is a cake walk--that it is something fun to do and that one can have a baby and go about life as normal?! I know some of my buddies who slurped up the Juno vomit will disagree with me, but I think part of it is movies like Juno and irresponsible celebrities like Jamie Lyn Spears that glamourize teenage pregnancy and make it seem fun and easy. Not to mention the public schools, where did the school fail these girls? And, of course, their parents...where were they when this pact was being formed?--Probably watching Juno!...
