It's all over but the cryin'!!

On, August 1, I turned 30 years old!! I cannot believe it! I can remember turning 18, shoot, I can remember turning 13. And here I am, no longer a young gal in my twenties!! It is scary! Aren't you supposed to have your life figured out and on track by the time you turn 30? I don't have everything all figured out, but I think (I hope) I am on the right track...time will tell...

Anyway, on my birthday, my hubbie, all of our kiddos and my mother-in-law went out to the Fortune House, the local Chinese buffet-not my first choice, but I figured it would be kid-friendly. It was really nice, yeah, it was loud and a little hectic with 6 kids, but, it was my life-my family, and I love it. Tommy wanted to be held most of the time, so, like at home, I held him in my lap, and fed him while I tried to eat. And, really, I didn't mind. I'm a mama, and he won't be little forever!

A week later, my parents put together on bonfire at their house for me, and we all roasted hot dogs and marshmallows (no marshmallows for me--barf!), we danced around and joked and laughed. It reminded me of the old days when I was a teenager, and we used to have bonfires for my birthday all the time. It was nice.
