Last Monday, was Isabelle's Brownie Investiture ceremony. It is a ceremony in which the 3rd grade Brownies move up to Junior Girl Scouts, new Brownies make the committment to the Brownies, and 2nd grade Brownies, like Isabelle, recommit to following the laws of the Girl Scouts and pledge to live by the Girl Scout Promise. The 2nd year Brownies all had a rock that symbolized a piece of the Promise that they tossed into a "pond" made out of cardboard and aluminum foil. When you look in the pond, you see yourself, so the idea is that these pebbles become part of who you are. Isabelle tossed in the pebble, "considerate." I thought it was pretty clevel and definitely meaningful. Peyton and Zoe attended. Peyton thought it was" "so great!"
Isabelle also received a certificate and a service pin to symbolize her continued service to the Brownie Girl Scouts.
