One, already!

I cannot believe Tommy is one already! It seems like yesterday I was laid up in the hospital bed, barely able to move after my C-section. I chose "All about Me" for the theme for T's 1st birthday. I made up a Tommy Trivia Game that included questions about Tommy's birth, development and the like. All of the adults answered the questions--my dad was the only one who got all of them right--he was very proud of this. I gave out picture frames that I made with a picture of Tommy as prizes--I gave everybody one, not just my dad--the winner of the trivia game. Tommy had fun sticking his hands in his cake and getting all messy--this is required for a first birthday! With all the excitement, Tommy missed his morning and afternoon naps and by the time we were finished with cake and ice cream, he was exhausted. He conked out on my lap, then Grandma help him while we played the trivia game, watched a little football, and talked. After he woke up, Daddy helped him open his presents. In the top picture, Aunt Diane is playing peek-a-boo with T. And, see the one of Tommy and my dad?--Doesn't my dad look a bit like Col. Sanders? Ha!
