For Peyton's 5th birthday party, we decorated the house with green balloons, green and gold ribbon, green table cover, character photos, a yellow brick road, and character Pez dispensers. It looked pretty magical, I must say. I ordered a yellow brick road cake, then, I place stickers of the characters on toothpicks and stuck them on the road. It was very cute. We made an "Over the Rainbow fruit plate, " "Tinman's heart pb & J sandwhiches" some with the "Scarecrow's STRAWberry jam," and we had "Dorothy's Blue ribbon cakes." Two of Peyton's friends from school attended (one in a Cowardly Lion costume) and they played "Pin the Heart on the Tin Man" and "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" (like musical chairs). All the kids received emerald goodie bags.
It was a lot of fun!
